This is system is also to referred to by some as the "Cancellation System". It's a system that involves you keep a record of what you' re doing.
A player first chooses some numbers, they can be any combination of numbers but for an easy example we will use numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. If the system works the player will win the total number of units in the series of numbers he has chosen, i.e. 21.
The player then takes the first and last numbers of the series and adds them together, e.g. 1+6 = 7. So you bet 7 units. If the bet is lost the 7 gets added on to the end of the series of numbers and the next bet will be 8 units. If however the player wins, they then cross out the first and last numbers of the series and bet the value of the existing outside numbers, so from our series that would be 2 + 5, so another 7 units.
You will notice that every time you win you are canceling out 2 numbers, whereas if you lose you are only adding 1 number. However that single number is the value of 2 numbers combined so adding a higher number which means higher bets on future rounds if you keep losing.
Remember, with the Labouchere system you can literally choose whatever series of numbers you like, for example, 2, 3, 1, 5,1, 1 or even as long a series of numbers as you wish such as 1,1,1 1, 2,1,4,2,1 literally anything.
The aim is to complete the series by canceling out all numbers and having won the total number of units. Therefore your more likely to do this and win if you have a small unit series.
Its an interesting system to try but its not one that will guarantee you winner.
