Red/Black (red or black) bets are a type of even money outside
roulette bets where you are betting on the color of the number hit on the
roulette wheel. As you know, each number on the wheel has a color of either Red, Black, or Green (0 and 00). This is a very common type of roulette bet because of the ease of understanding you almost have a 50/50 chance of winning. If the wheel lands on 0 or 00, neither a red or black bet wins. To place a red/black bet, simply put your chips on the area marked "Red" or "Black" on the
roulette table.
The payout on a red or black bet is 1:1, even money. If you place a $5 bet on red and the wheel hits a red number, you will be paid $5 in addition to getting your original $5 bet back.
